About This Course
M.Ed. the full form is Master of Education. M.Ed. is a 2 years professional course that prepares educators by nurturing their professional skills by widening their knowledge by providing hands-on knowledge about the various ways of educating the students. The course focuses not only on deepening the knowledge about education but also allows the educators to choose various specialized areas in teaching and develop research capabilities. The Indian Education Industry is expected to grow at a rate of 7.5 % in the coming years. According to a report by the IBEF the Indian education market is expected to be worth over USD 2025 Billion by 2025, hence creating a huge demand for educators in India.
Course Objective
The course should be pursued by candidates who are willing to work within the education industry, the candidates who have an interest in working with various NGOs regarding the spreading of education should take up the course, and candidates who want to become a teacher should take up the course, candidates who are interested in becoming educational counselors should consider taking up the M.Ed. course. The Times of India reported in 2019, that Indian schools needed about 15 million counselors for about 315 million students to help them recover from various stress or mental illness.
